What is hyperpigmentation?
Hyperpigmentation occurs when the skin produces too much melanin in a concentrated area. It can appear as a small dark spot or a larger discolored area. Many factors can contribute to this unwanted darkening. Among the most common causes are:
Scarring: previous acne or injury to the skin even when healed may leave a dark mark or spot on the skin.
Sun exposure: can cause anything from freckles to large brownish patches.
Aging: commonly causes brown spots also known as liver spots or age spots on the face, body and hands.
Pregnancy: causes a condition known as Melasma. These tan-to-brown patches around the mouth or eyes are also referred to as the "mask of pregnancy".

I noticed that Palmer's Skin Success offers different fading products. Which one is right for me?
Palmer's Skin Success Fade Creams are offered according to skin type- For All Skin Types, For Oily Skin and For Dry Skin. Those with normal skin should choose the For All Skin Types formula. Those with combination or oilier skin types would benefit from the For Oily Skin formula and those with drier skin should choose the For Dry Skin formula. Palmer's Skin Success Eventone Fade Milk is ideal for body use as the formula is lighter and best for all over body application.
